IFFR onthult selectie gesteunde projecten HBF+Europe 2023

Sinds 2015 ondersteunt Creative Europe MEDIA een speciale financieringsroute voor minoritaire co-producties binnen het Hubert Bals Fonds (HBF), het financieringsprogramma van International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). Onder de noemer HBF+Europe: Minority Co-production Support zijn dit jaar 8 internationale speelfilmprojecten in productiefase geselecteerd.

Daarnaast heeft de vergrote steun voor HBF+Europe vanuit de Europese Commissie nu ook de ruimte geboden voor extra financieringsmogelijkheden voor projecten die reeds in de post-productiefase zijn. Middels dit nieuwe potje, genaamd HBF+Europe: Post-production Support, worden 4 internationale co-producties ondersteund.

Onder de selectie bevinden zich 4 minoritaire co-producties met Nederland. Deze samenwerkingen, met de Nederlandse producenten BALDR, PRPL, Volya Films, en Stout&Smits/The Film Kitchen, zijn mede tot stand gekomen tijdens door MEDIA gesteunde programma's binnen IFFR (CineMart/BoostNL) en het Nederlands Film Festival (BoostNL/Holland Film Meeting).
